Change Your Relationship with MoneyIt’s true!

If you change how you relate to money, you will start to experience things and events that will enable you to increase your wealth. Change Your Relationship with Money, and create the money you want in your life!

Here are some tips in creating the relationship with money that will create a positive change in your wealth health. For those who want to get right at the answer click here» , for everyone that wants to read the tips continue on.

  1. Focus on abundance, not lack! If you complain about what you haven’t got, you’re placing all your energy and focus into creating nothing. If you hear yourself complaining about not having enough money,you know the self talk,  stop yourself in that moment! Turn the negative statement into a positive one and focus your attention to abundance. This takes practice as I always say the process is simple however it is not easy. Stay resolute and focus on plenty and your prosperity will start turning round.
  2. Money is energy. Like the tides, it comes in and goes out and comes in again. It exists to represent the value of things in the world – and that includes the value you place on yourself, your experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. If money hasn’t been flowing as you want it to, look to how you value yourself. Do you have faith in what you can offer or provide? Do you have confidence in your abilities? Believe that you are worthy of reward. Believe that you deserve the wage, job or prospects that you desire. Raise your self-esteem, increase your value and your wealth will also increase.
  3. Money isn’t evil; it’s what we do with it that determines whether it is used with good or bad intentions. Being told that money, and the pursuit of money, is bad is full of guilt and envy riddled overtones, often spread by those who are jealous or lacking. With money, you can do great deeds in the world. You can support wonderful causes and spread your wealth to where it is needed. Be proud of your association with money by giving something back to society and realizing that it gives you the opportunity to bring about positive change.
  4. Don’t be precious about your money. Trying to hold on to your money or agonizing over it and begrudging spending it reveals that you are too attached. This over-attachment can bring about fear resulting in lack or financial misfortunes. Don’t hoard your money or be tight-fisted. Let your money flow. Pay your way through life without resentment. Be more generous about your money and consider the intrinsic value of what you’re gaining in return.
  5. Give a percentage of what you earn to a good cause. Spread your wealth and don’t begrudge doing so. By sharing what you have, and giving away some of your money altruistically, without worrying about lack or hoping to gain something in return, you are demonstrating a healthy relationship with money while also trusting in yourself and the universe to create abundance all round.
  6. Be positive about money. You may have grown up hearing many negative although perhaps well-meaning statements about money from your parents, friends or other family members. What is said often sticks in your mind and contributes in some way to your outlook on life. If you grew up believing that money is evil, that you need to guard your money, or that it’s hard to come by, this generates negative connotations about money that you are likely to carry through to adulthood. Only by re-programming those negative associations can you release the hold that money has over you. Once you are detached from money, it is actually free to start flowing to you so enhancing your prospects.
  7. Believe that you will always have enough of what you need. Focus on abundance at all times, but in a detached rather than grasping way. Trust that the money will flow. Don’t let money, or the pursuit of it, rule your life because it isn’t necessary and by doing so, you’ll miss out on all the other riches that life has to offer.
  8. Finally, be grateful for what you have and show or express your gratitude. By living graciously, and not taking anything for granted, you will be more appreciative of the abundance that comes your way.

The Short Answer…  “Be Positive About Money.”

Focus on abundance and trust that you will always have enough. Believe that you are worthy of a great income and wealth but make sure you remain grateful and altruistic with your fortune. By changing your perspective and adopting a good relationship with money, your financial future will start to look healthier.

Blur the Lines of Work and Play!

// February 25th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Daily Insight

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine weather he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

- Francois Auguste René Chateaubriand

Matt blurring the Lines!

I found this quote in a book call “Let My People Go Surfing” by Yvon Chouinard and it sparked the philosophy of my life and business every since. I now work and play with the full intention on blurring the lines of each. I always do what I enjoy and do it to the level of excellence I would expect of others and of myself.

We often hear the words “Life is short” yet for many the fear, worry and doubt of life has them paralyzed with in-action. With the times as they seem to appear to many we must move forward and look to what we truly want for ourselves and our life and go get it.

That is how I spend my days, coaching and inspiring others to discover in themselves what they truly want and then to set action to achieving it.

What do you want? How do you blur the lines of work and play? Share your comments and inspire others to grow and enjoy this thing called life. Beacasue as the saying goes “Life is Short”!

What have you Mastered

What have you Mastered“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson
1803-1882, Poet and Essayist

Let us know what have you mastered? What would you like to master?

We all play a part!

// December 29th, 2008 // No Comments » // Personal Development, Success Tips

We all play a part!“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.”

John F. Kennedy
1917-1963, Thirty-Fifth President of the United States

I am not one to watch tv, however I still seem to hear from friends, family and passers by that apparently the economy is in trouble and we are in dire straights. I wonder to myself do we want this media blitz to define us? Is this what we want to leave in the history books for our children to read about?

I believe that yes some things have to change, the economy can not continue the way it was going and not have some repercussions. We all play a part in that and for that we have to take some responsibility in this situation. Then we need to realize that if we all take action, just like the quote from John F.Kennedy, we can write the history that we want as a person and as a society.

I am writing this on Christmas eve and I am just settling in for the day with my kids as many of you are. Take the time to realize how we can turn off that doom and gloom thoughts and actions in this time with family and friends. Take that attitude and apply that to the way you live your life in the new year!

If you decide to focus on what the media says is going to happen then guess what?  That is exactly what you will get. I feel it is important to remember that in all the success we have achieved personally or as a society has come in times of challenges. Adversity is preparation for Greatness!

Abundance, health, wealth and happiness can be yours if you choose to have it in 2009. Life is a playground and each and everyone of us as a choice on how we choose to play! We all play a part in our life and our history!

What do you think, can we change things by sifting our focus as a single person? By personally making that change can we inspire others to make the shift as well?

Success, Plan One Day at a Time

// December 24th, 2008 // 2 Comments » // Personal Development, Success Tips

Success, Plan Your DaySuccess is a just a plan away for many. As we are about to embark on a new year, I wanted to share one of the lessons I learned from the past year. A simple yet amazingly effective, “success comes to anyone who wants it and is willing to take the action required to achieve it”.

One of the single activities that I can say that has lead to an outstanding successful year is simple . This is something that everyone can do. This easy “Success Principal” is planning your day the night before.

Planning your day the night before leads to implementing your perfect day and as you begin to piece one successful day after another little success builds to big success.

Two reasons this is an amazingly successful tip; One, most of the time people go about there day responding to other peoples needs and wants instead of doing what they had intended. By planning your day the night before you can be focused and scheduled on what you need to accomplish. The second reason for planning a detailed perfect day the night before is now you hand over what you need to accomplish to your un-conscious and sub-conscious mind. At this point your mind goes to work coming up with creative solutions, ideas and ways to complete what you have scheduled for yourself. Plan your day, work your plan!

Some tips for effectively planning your day the night before:

  1. Plan your perfect day – what do you need to accomplish? Write it out in detail.
  2. Plan the night before, “Very Important” this is very powerful so do not cheat yourself on this step
  3. Schedule your day with when you want to do something and how log you think it will take.
  4. Plan your day, then work your plan!

What is your take, do you plan your day? Has it worked for you?
