"Happiness comes from you making things happen for you instead of you waiting for things to happen to and for you"

I like this quote, you see if we let circumstance predict how our life is being shaped we stop the flow of our true self being expressed. This leads us to a state of resentment and if left long enough can lead to dis-ease.

True joy comes from freely expressing ourselves and our internal desires. We can carve our life out in front of us, or we can sit and wait for it to been given to us. You can look at the current economic situation and you can see what happens when we let things be given to us.

It is our responsibility to make things happen for ourselves. You see if you are seeing some things in our life that are not what you would like them to be, the only way to change it is to change it for ourselves. We are the only one that knows what those changes need to be. How can we expect or wait for someone else to do it for us when they do not know what it is that needs to be changed.

Ask yourself these two questions and the answers will give you the direction to take:

What is it that I you are really excited about right now?

What, if any, action have I taken to achieve that in which I am really excited about?

If you answered nothing in question two then you know what you need to do to make things happen for yourself.

You have something that you desire to accomplish, you are excited or passionate about. If we take no action towards it and sit and wait for it to happen then what? You see we need to know what we desire and we need to express that by making it happen for ourselves.

"Happiness comes from you making things happen for you instead of you waiting for things to happen to and for you"

Get out and play!

John F. Kennedy
1917-1963, Thirty-Fifth President of the United States

I am not one to watch tv, however I still seem to hear from friends, family and passers by that apparently the economy is in trouble and we are in dire straights. I wonder to myself do we want this media blitz to define us? Is this what we want to leave in the history books for our children to read about?
