Make Things Happen

Make Things Happen“Happiness comes from you making things happen for you instead of you waiting for things to happen to and for you”

I like this quote, you see if we let circumstance predict how our life is being shaped we stop the flow of our true self being expressed. This leads us to a state of resentment and if left long enough can lead to dis-ease.

True joy comes from freely expressing ourselves and our internal desires. We can carve our life out in front of us, or we can sit and wait for it to been given to us. You can look at the current economic situation and you can see what happens when we let things be given to us.

It is our responsibility to make things happen for ourselves. You see if you are seeing some things in our life that are not what you would like them to be, the only way to change it is to change it for ourselves. We are the only one that knows what those changes need to be. How can we expect or wait for someone else to do it for us when they do not know what it is that needs to be changed.

Ask yourself these two questions and the answers will give you the direction to take:

  1. What is it that I you are really excited about right now?
  2. What, if any, action have I taken to achieve that in which I am really excited about?

If you answered nothing in question two then you know what you need to do to make things happen for yourself.

You have something that you desire to accomplish, you are excited or passionate about. If we take no action towards it and sit and wait for it to happen then what? You see we need to know what we desire and we need to express that by making it happen for ourselves.

“Happiness comes from you making things happen for you instead of you waiting for things to happen to and for you”

Get out and play!

We all play a part!

We all play a part!“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.”

John F. Kennedy
1917-1963, Thirty-Fifth President of the United States

I am not one to watch tv, however I still seem to hear from friends, family and passers by that apparently the economy is in trouble and we are in dire straights. I wonder to myself do we want this media blitz to define us? Is this what we want to leave in the history books for our children to read about?

I believe that yes some things have to change, the economy can not continue the way it was going and not have some repercussions. We all play a part in that and for that we have to take some responsibility in this situation. Then we need to realize that if we all take action, just like the quote from John F.Kennedy, we can write the history that we want as a person and as a society.

I am writing this on Christmas eve and I am just settling in for the day with my kids as many of you are. Take the time to realize how we can turn off that doom and gloom thoughts and actions in this time with family and friends. Take that attitude and apply that to the way you live your life in the new year!

If you decide to focus on what the media says is going to happen then guess what?  That is exactly what you will get. I feel it is important to remember that in all the success we have achieved personally or as a society has come in times of challenges. Adversity is preparation for Greatness!

Abundance, health, wealth and happiness can be yours if you choose to have it in 2009. Life is a playground and each and everyone of us as a choice on how we choose to play! We all play a part in our life and our history!

What do you think, can we change things by sifting our focus as a single person? By personally making that change can we inspire others to make the shift as well?

Dreading Work, try KFC!

// October 9th, 2008 // No Comments » // Home Business Income, Success Tips

Dreading the workday, will you have a job this week, next week? The future seems bleak to most with the current economic outlook. What most people forget to realize is that this is the cycle of our economy, it will continue to follow this cycle as long as the economy is based on a work for pay world with most people going to a job day in and day out. This section of our society has little or no control of where or how long that job will last. That is why it is now that starting a home business has never been better!

Why would you say now is the best time to start a home business. I will provide some tips below but the most important reason is going against what most people are doing and thinking. I always follow the KFC Rule (Know what you want, Find out what you are getting, Change what you are doing until you get what you want.) So, most of us know what we want right? If not this is the place to start! Find out what you are getting, so if you are not getting the money, the time, the freedom you want and your doing what you always do then… The last part of the rule change what you are doing. You see most people are just sitting around dreading what is happening but continuing to do the same thing each day. Well, hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is what put us here in the first place. Action step then is change what you are doing until you get what you want. Hence, start a home business, take control over your future and go get what you want.

Here are some Reasons why starting a home business now is the right solution:

  1. Reap what you Sow: Start your business now and be lean and mean, knowing that the growth will be slow and steady, you can build a system and a business that will be able to handle the explosion when things turn around for the economy. Be ahead of the curve and reap the benefits in the future. (Know what you want)
  2. Few People are doing it: 95-97% of people will follow the crowd, and right now the crowd is sitting around complaining that life sucks and pointing fingers at everyone else for a solution. That leaves only 3-5% of people really taking action to get something done. Ask yourself, can you be successful when you only have 3-5%  of the people to compete with? (Find out what you are getting)
  3. Enjoy the Good Life: Yes, imagine what you could do if you started a home business now in your spare time while still working your JOB. If you brought in $2000 to $3000 dollars extra a month, what would you do? The great thing is that the luxury life is cheaper in the downturn of economic times. Now you can stay at a better hotel, eat at better restaurants, buy some new toys you get the point. As your business continues to grow you will be able to walk away from that JOB while everyone else is still trying to claw there where back from the ashes. (Change what you are doing until you get what you want)

I use the KFC rule in everything I do. It is that simple that, and you can get what you want each and everytime. Many of you will read this and go back to pointing fingers and giving opions on why things are not working. I am ok with that, because that is your choice. I however chose to live the life I want and for just about 2 years now I have been doing that and I continue to do it. Starting your own business puts all the power of your future in your hands. And in times of a tough economy where esle would you rather have it?
